Oral health education
We're passionate about oral health and want to share it! Our team of Oral Health Educators promotes oral health knowledge and teaches dental hygiene to audiences of all ages. Trained and licensed as dental hygienists or dental assistants, they travel the state to more than 500 events every year.
Classroom visits are their favorites, and in 2018 they reached approximately 13,400 school kids in the classroom with oral health education. Other public events include informational booths and sessions at community events, celebrations, and health fairs.
Their work also includes oral health information and training for medical staff and nursing students as part of our Partners For Prevention program, and for dental hygiene and dental assisting students in classroom and public health settings.
The team is also a resource to our commercial group clients at benefit fairs to encourage oral health care and use of their dental benefits.
