See the impact you can have

Delta Dental of South Dakota believes everyone deserves a healthy smile. Our passion to help kids, especially those least able to access or afford care is why our Mobile Program has served more than 50,000 kids so far.

What's it really like?

It's Monday morning and the sun is rising over the state Capitol as you board the company van in Pierre to follow the 40-foot mobile dental clinic to its destination.

Although you spend many hours on the road, each trip is a rewarding adventure to help as many kids as possible.

When you get to your destination, you're greeted by a smiling local site partner who describes the situation to the team. There are 50 kids who need dental care. Some have struggled to eat, and many have trouble focusing on school because of their pain.

By Friday, you and your team are ready to head home, and you reflect on how many kids you've helped in just four days.

There were too many smiles to count and a few tears. But nothing tops the thanks you got from an 8 year-old named Charlie who was delighted to get his own toothbrush so he won't have to use his older brother's.

You know you aren't changing the world, but you changed Charlie's world. That's why we do what we do. Not because it's a job, but because it's our mission. We're dedicated to improving oral health across our state.
