Job overview
This position provides accounting support to the Finance department. Knowledge of general accounting practices and principles is important. This position will be responsible for handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer data entry, financial reconciliations, etc.
Duties and responsibilities
- Process the accounts payables; includes scanning invoices, reviewing bill payments and processing stop payments/void checks as needed
- Work closely with other departments to process payments
- Process the account receivables; includes processing the daily bank deposit and electronic ACH deposits
- Reconcile the daily deposit activity and ACH deposits
- Input customer financial information into the system; update vendor records as needed
- Provide other general accounting duties as assigned to best meet the needs of the department
Experience and qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent education
- At least 3 years of accounting experience is required
- High level of attention to detail to best serve our customers and company values
- Experience with computer data entry
- Basic knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work well with other departments to find solutions
