Network Administration Specialist 

The Network Administration Specialist provides IT technical assistance, maintenance, and support, including maintaining PCs, network equipment, configuring user directories and email accounts, and providing helpdesk support.

Responsibilities

  • Setup, configure and install workstations
  • Assist with maintaining and administering the Windows Active Directory configuration
  • Provide training & support to users on various software applications; includes diagnosing and solving problems on workstations and associated devices
  • Install, configure and maintain network equipment; includes servers, switches, routers, cabling, scanners, and network printers
  • Assist with basic phone system administration
  • Act as primary point of contact for the IT helpdesk
  • Install and maintain various systems software and hardware
  • Assist with maintaining an accountable backup and recovery system
  • Assist with timely patching of servers, workstations, and other equipment as needed
  • Configure and maintain user email accounts and directories

Experience and qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems Technology or a computer related field is required
  • 1-2 years of prior experience with network administration is preferred but not required
  • Preferred knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Windows Server, Office 365 products, VMWare, SANs and other general software programs
