Responsibilities
- Prepare, pre-sort and group documents into batches
- Scan documents into the computer system; such as inquiry letters to the dental offices, refunds letters, and x-rays
- Index and assign appropriate file numbers to documents/batches
- Release and direct scanned documents/batches to the appropriate work queues/baskets in the computer systems
- Provide backup support to the claims support clerk; sorting and counting claims documents
- Assist in the mailroom as needed; opening and sorting incoming mail
Experience and qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent education
- Previous clerical and/or administrative support experience is helpful
- Basic knowledge of computer (Microsoft Office products)
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to work well with other people
